In times of social restrictions and distancing to the outer world, solitude is both feared and desired as it forces us to look inwards. The act of being alone creates space for transformation of the self, immersion and creativity. The project is based on the fashion theory of Fred Davis concerning human ambivalence as fashion’s fuel and Maria Mackinney Valentins perspective on ambiguous trends as a possible approach to sustainable fashion. My aspiration with this project is to design a collection, giving the user the possibility to change her mind and transform in her clothes. Concept and shape is inspired by religious architecture and Buddhist monks dress. Focus on collection building, concept and production.
